Nebraska Volleyball Holds Opponents to Hitting Percentage Under .100
Huskers Move to 4-0 in Big Ten Play
The No. 4 Nebraska volleyball team swept Wichita State in three sets (25-14, 25-15, 25-17) on Wednesday night at the Devaney Center.
The Huskers (13-3, 4-0 Big Ten) held the Shockers (12-4) to a .075 hitting percentage, the lowest opponent hitting percentage of the season.
Nebraska hit .361 for the match, led by Madi Kubik's 11 kills. Lexi Rodriguez added 10 kills, and Whitney Lauenstein had nine kills.
Nicklin Hames dished out 34 assists, and Kenzie Knuckles had a team-high 12 digs.
The Huskers have now won 10 straight matches and are 8-0 at home this season.
Huskers Dominate at the Net
Nebraska's block was a major factor in the win, as the Huskers recorded 10 blocks to Wichita State's three.
Kubik led the way with five blocks, followed by Lauenstein with four and Rodriguez with three.
The Huskers' ability to block shots forced Wichita State into numerous errors.
Kubik Leads the Way
Madi Kubik was the Huskers' most efficient attacker on Wednesday night, hitting .500 with 11 kills on 20 attempts.
Kubik also added five blocks and two digs.
The sophomore outside hitter is one of the most dynamic players in the country and is a key reason for Nebraska's success this season.
Huskers Move to 4-0 in Big Ten Play
With the win over Wichita State, the Huskers improve to 4-0 in Big Ten play.
Nebraska is tied with Purdue and Wisconsin atop the Big Ten standings.
The Huskers will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Iowa for a match against the Hawkeyes.
